Meadow Camping in Norfolk

 

Meadow camping, if you haven’t heard of it before, is a great way to experience camping in Norfolk. This type of camping, which Driftways is renowned for, is considered a more natural and serene way to camp, surrounded by countryside in a secluded and peaceful setting.

 

Meadow camping in Norfolk, as the name suggests, offers a more rustic form of camping, but still with access to clean compost toilets, hot showers, and your very own fire pit to keep warm.

 

Now, we can’t speak for every meadow site but camping in Norfolk with us gives you plenty of space. You’ll almost feel as if you’re in your very own meadow. Mown into the grass, each pitch is at least 16 metres in diameter and a minimum of 8 metres between the next pitch.

 

To maintain the beauty of the meadow, our site is car-free. But don’t worry, we supply easy-to-push wheelbarrows to carry items to your pitch, which is all part of the fun!

What to expect when camping in Norfolk with us?

 

With so many camping in Norfolk options open to you, it can be hard to settle on the best camp site. One of the first things you should ask yourself is what do you want from your camping holiday. If you want to feel connected to nature, in a place that’s near enough to all the tourist attractions, yet far enough away for it to feel as if you’ve stepped into another world, we’re the perfect camp site for you.

 

Our facilities are super-clean.

 

As standard, you’ll have your very own environmentally-friendly composting toilet that keeps any unwanted odours at bay.

 

Our showers run on LPG gas with a solar powered pump to remain as eco-friendly as possible. Our guests tell us that they find it quite refreshing to know that they can have a hot shower.

 

There’s plenty of space to wash up. We also have a Dairy across the lane at the farmhouse, where with have electric points for charging devices, a fridge/freezer for you to use, drinking water (filtered from our private well) and if you don’t feel like cooking, Just East will happily deliver to Driftways.
